A look at the upcoming 3-ON-3 Tournament!
The Covid-19 pandemic rocked the world, and CFC, like many other clubs, was not immune to the shutdowns and various restrictions that were imposed by the federal and provincial governments. HOWEVER, the Cambridge Floorball Board of Directors is proud to announce the Return to the Court Initiative!
This Initiative will be launched Aug 20th, 2022 when CFC hosts their annual 3-ON-3 Tournament. Returning for the first time since the pandemic, the board of directors are, "very excited to see the return to play get kickstarted by such as awesome event" as stated by Club President, Tyler Brush. The return to floorball initiative was discussed in depth by the board, to give club members and new players the chance of getting back into playing with a fun, fast paced tournament.
The Club is looking to get back to its pre-pandemic ways, with both a booming recreational and competitive league, as well as a return to having regular organized club team practices.
CFC will be hosting the annual tournament in their usual gym space, 175 Holiday Inn Drive in Cambridge, with the goal of have four different divisions. Having both an A and B adult division, to go along with a women's only division are staples at the tournament every year. But for the first time ever, CFC will be hosting two different kid's divisions! Having a U10 and a U13 division, CFC is wanting to begin to grow the game with the kids in the community moving forward, and believed that, "this was a great time to get kids playing the sport we love", as stated by Club Director of Funds, Tim Garside.
Registration for the event is set to open July 1, 2022 at 12am EST, and will close Aug 18, 2022 at 11:59pm EST. So Hurry Quick, grab all your friends and get your teams ready, and prepare yourselves to try and win the 2022 CFC 3-ON-3 Tournament.
No experience playing floorball is required to join any of the divisions offered by the club, and both invidious and team registration will be made available. If you have any questions, you are asked to contact the club HERE.
