Czech Open, Here We Come! 🇨🇿🏑

This summer, Cambridge Floorball is packing up our sticks, lacing up our shoes, and heading east for an unforgettable floorball adventure in the heart of Europe – we’re going to the Czech Open 2025!

But before we hit the courts in Prague, we’ve got a special stop planned: a training camp with the amazing Chomutov Floorball Club! That’s right – we’re diving into some high-quality Czech training sessions with one of the country's most dedicated clubs. Expect drills, tactics, and probably a lot of sweating. But also laughs, floorball friendships, and maybe some questionable Czech snack choices.

Why the Czech Open?

The Czech Open is one of the biggest and most prestigious international floorball tournaments, drawing clubs from all over the world. It’s fast-paced, intense, and full of high-level competition – the perfect challenge for our growing club. We’re beyond excited to test our skills, learn from other teams, and of course, represent Cambridge on an international stage!

Our Training in Chomutov

We’re thrilled to be partnering with FBC DDM Chomutov, a club known for its strong youth development and passionate community. We’ll be sharpening our skills with them in the days leading up to the tournament, getting a taste of Czech-style floorball (and maybe some local goulash too). There’s also talk of a friendly match or two... so bring your game face.

It's Not All Floorball...

We couldn’t go all the way to the Czech Republic without soaking up some of the culture. Off the court, we’re planning some time to explore Prague’s historic streets, check out a castle or two, and maybe even find a pub that serves floorball-themed cocktails (hey, we can dream).

This trip is more than just competition – it’s about team bonding, new experiences, and taking Cambridge Floorball to the next level. We’ll be sharing photos, stories, and maybe a blooper reel or two along the way, so stay tuned.
