Cambridge Takes on Czech Open

This summer, the Cambridge Floorball team had the incredible opportunity to travel overseas and compete in one of the world’s premier floorball tournaments – the Czech Open in Prague. Facing off against teams from across Europe and beyond, our players embraced the challenge, the competition, and the atmosphere of international floorball.

On the court, the team put together a strong performance, finishing group play with a solid 2-0-1 record. Their efforts earned them a spot in the playoff bracket, where they battled hard in the round of 32 before being eliminated in a tough game. While the tournament run ended earlier than hoped, the experience was nothing short of unforgettable.

What stood out most was the way the team came together – playing with energy, determination, and a great team spirit. Every game was a chance not only to learn and grow, but also to showcase Cambridge and Canada on an international stage.

Off the court, the tournament was just as rewarding. The players soaked up the atmosphere of Prague, made new connections within the global floorball community, and had plenty of fun along the way.

Overall, it was an amazing journey – and a proud moment for our club. Representing both Cambridge and Canada at the Czech Open was an honour, and this experience will only fuel our passion and development moving forward.
